Dzogchen Monastery Tibet

Dzogchen Monastery is located in Eastern Tibet and is currently the home of some three hundred monks. Although at one time the residence of thousands of monks and the home of storied buildings and legendary sacred objects, the physical plant of the monastery, including the numerous sacred objects housed therein, was essentially destroyed over the course of a few decades beginning in the 1950s. Rebuilding of many of the facilities in Tibet began in the 1980s.
